The Tewksbury BU11-2 team played again in a regular season game on Sunday, 01 May 11 at the Livingston Park fields. The score at the end of the first half was Tewksbury 5, Arlington 3.
The boys showed great first half skill on defense causing many turnovers that lead to fast Tewksbury goals. Connor Brinklow had a very good first half in goal allowing only three Arlington goals. As in the first half, the Tewksbury team came out flying up and down the field in the second half. More great defense and mid field loose ball pickups led to Tewksbury’s second victory in as many games by a score of 12 – 7 over the Arlington team.

Tewksbury Boys U-13 -1 (6) vs. Arlington U-13-1 (2)
The Tewksbury Boys Lacrosse U13-1 continued their winning ways by overpowering a very good Arlington team and came out on top 6 -2. Goalie Jimmy Strickler held Arlington scoreless in the second half, and one of the first half scores only was a result of a two player advantage fromcouple of penalties. Once again exceptional defense was the key to this win, with Matty McLaughlin, JP Mooney, Ben Connors, and Patrick Hunt preventing minimal offensive penetration by Arlington. Each made stops and clears down field to set up their team’s offense.
On the receiving end were middies Drew Fletcher, Kyle Strong and James Cash who found teammates Nick Diminico, Connor Power, Ethan Hepler, Chris Lucas and Robbie Gilligan in the attacking zone. Fletcher and attacker Brandon Winn moved the ball around and found Kevin Carta who put Tewksbury on the scoreboard. Speedster at middie Brendan Sjostedt wove thru the Arlington defense and fired a rocket into the back of the net for the team’s second goal. Winn assisted again along with Diminico setting up Nick Muise for the third score and Tewksbury never looked back. Maintaining a dominating presence at middie Tyler Harvey powered by the defense and scored to keep Tewksbury well out in front. Adding two goals and rounding out the tally for Tewksbury was middie Ryan Flynn who took one to the net right off the faceoff unassisted, and scored his second one assisted by terrific passing from Hepler, Power and Harvey. A well executed performance for the team’s third win to remain undefeated.
