The priciest home, on Prospect Street, sold for $1.85 million, and readers are invited to explore photos and details for each Wakefield property.    

• Balsa wood airplanes have taken flight — and delivered joy — from Wakefield for 100 years (wbur.org) — A century-old Wakefield company, Guillow’s, has been handcrafting the balsa wood gliders many residents grew up tossing in local yards and parks. CEO Tom Barker and longtime staff describe how the hometown factory still uses old-school machines and ingenuity to make its beloved planes. To celebrate 100 years, Guillow’s will co-sponsor a model airplane “Fun Fly” in Newbury on June 20, 2026.    

• Man arrested in Harvard, MIT dorm break-ins (boston.com) — Wakefield residents should know their local police helped Massachusetts State Police arrest a suspect in a string of recent dorm break-ins at Harvard and MIT. Authorities say the 31-year-old man, not yet publicly identified, is accused of entering residences and allegedly assaulting or attempting to grab students. He faces multiple serious charges and is being arraigned in Cambridge District Court.
