WAKEFIELD, MA — Trash will be collected on Friday as usual this week, and there will not be a holiday delay, according to the town.
The Town of Wakefield provided the following update on its website:
Republic Hauling, the Town’s trash and recycling contractor, has informed us that they will collect Friday's route on Friday, June 19, instead of the typical one-day holiday delay. All residences on Friday’s route should have their trash and recycling out at the curb as usual. There will be no delayed collection on Saturday.
Looking forward into next month, note that there will be no collection impact due to Independence Day, since the holiday falls on a Saturday. The next scheduled holiday delay will occur on September 7 for Labor Day.
