Wakefield Rotary Welcomes Three New Members from The Savings Bank

The Wakefield Rotary Club is pleased to welcome three new members, all Assistant Vice President/Branch Managers with The Savings Bank: Bina Siddiqui of the Main Branch, Julie MacArthur of the Lakeside location, and Marc Skorupski of the Greenwood Branch.

The three new members are all transitioning from corporate members to full members. Each were representing The Savings Bank as a group and will now be full individual members, having experienced the value of Rotary.

Siddiqui said she was drawn to Rotary's commitment to making a difference in the community and its spirit of service. She looks forward to participating in projects focused on economic and community development, food drives, and other initiatives.

"I am honored to be part of a group of people committed to serving others through selfless acts of service," Siddiqui said.

Originally from Pakistan, Siddiqui now lives in Acton with her family.

As an associate member of the club before becoming a full member, MacArthur quickly became involved in Rotary projects over the past year, including leading the club's efforts to support ALS fundraising.

"I wanted to be part of a club that helps strengthen and support the community," MacArthur said.

With a particular interest in senior programs and initiatives addressing homelessness and hunger, MacArthur looks forward to helping develop new programs in Wakefield. A native of Salem, she now lives with her family in West Peabody.

"I was invited to visit Rotary when I started working for The Savings Bank," Skorupski said. "I was drawn to join when I witnessed the passion this group has to do good and help others."

Skorupski quickly became involved in the club and has taken on the role of coordinating weekly food drop-offs for Rotary's adopted Little Food Pantry site on Main Street. He lives in Southampton with his wife and two children.

The three new members join four additional members who have joined the club since 2025: Rick Krempon, Euwan Godfrey, Dee Casey, and Megan Samborski.

"Bringing in new members is always refreshing," said Club President Paul Adams. "Our club encourages them to pursue their interests through service, and we're looking forward to empowering their ideas."

In addition to their work in the community, Siddiqui, MacArthur, and Skorupski will each serve as Assistant Treasurers for the club.
