At the August meeting, the Order Sons & Daughters of Italy in America Wakefield Lodge installed three new officers! Also, we celebrated membership milestones. Some members were surprised to learn they already hit their five-year "Lodge-iversary", and one even reached her 25-year milestone! The Lodge is a better place with all our officers and members.
Recently installed officers included Kaye Alteiri in the role of Treasurer, and Janice Curran, and Angela Smith as Trustees. We are thrilled to have these members step up with fresh energy and ideas.
The August Lobster Bake in York, Maine social event had a big turnout and was a grande hit! Other fun coming up includes a trip to the brand new North End Historical Museum. Tuesday bocce at the Stoneham Senior Center is still open to the public and will continue for the first week in September (weather permitting). September 8, we have our next regular meeting at the West Side Social Club.
If you would like to learn about the Wakefield Lodge, reach out to President Toni Encarnacao at WakefieldOSIA@gmail.com. You don't have to be Italian to join! Don't forget to follow us on Facebook.
