WAKEFIELD, MA — The Wakefield Area Chamber of Commerce and Town of Wakefield will host Town Day on the Common on September 26, 2026. From 1 to 4 p.m., all are invited to listen to live music, enjoy a variety of food and beverages, participate in a cornhole tournament, engage in children's activities, and browse exhibitor tables. Attendees can also stop by the flu-shot clinic to get their flu vaccines. We look forward to seeing you at this family-friendly event. The rain date is September 27.

Sign Up for our Cornhole Tournament
If you are interested in participating in our cornhole tournament, please register online with our Recreation Department at www.wakefieldma.gov/town-day or call them at 781-246-6389. Registration is free and will close on September 23 or when the 30-team maximum is reached, whichever comes first. Teams consist of 2 players, one of whom must be at least 18 years of age. If Town Day is rescheduled due to weather and moved to the September 27 rain date, the tournament will not take place.
Register for your Flu Shot
Community members aged five and over can receive their flu shots from Wakefield's Health and Human Services Department. Register for the Town Day clinic at www.wakefieldma.gov/town-day. Pre-registration is highly recommended, as priority will be given to those with an appointment. Sanofi Pasteur Fluzone vaccine will be available to those 5 years and older. Fluzone high-dose will be available to individuals 65 years and older. Individuals under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
