1 Person Cut With Machete In MA Fight, 2 Others Hospitalized

Three people were injured during a Waltham fight, including one who suffered a "deep head laceration" from a machete, police said.

WALTHAM, MA — Two people are in custody after a fight involving a machete led to three injuries in Waltham over the weekend.

At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, the Waltham Police Department responded to the area of 34 Hammond St. for a report of a fight involving a machete, officials said.

Upon arrival, police found one victim that suffered a deep head laceration from being attacked with a machete.

Two other men were found that had sustained injuries in the fight. All three were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Two males were placed under arrest at the scene.

Police determined that there was no threat to public safety stemming from the fight.
