2 Alarm Fire In Waltham

Firefighters battled a fire on Dennison Street Tuesday afternoon.

WALTHAM, MA — If you're wondering why all the helicopters, there was a fire at a two and a half story wood framed home on Dennison Street. When firefighters arrived the found heavy smoke and fire near the back of the home and called for a second alarm.

No official word on whether there were injuries or what may have caused the fire just yet.

The building was built in 1910 and is a two unit condo.

Just before 6 p.m. witnesses said an ambulance left the home with siren on. At 6:30 p.m. Dennison was still blocked off at Riverview Ave and Forestgrove Road and firefighters were still on the scene rolling up hoses.

One firefighter told our Patch Mayor Jessica Lucci that no one was hurt. Lucci tells Patch one of the women who lived in the home said she wasn't able to save anything from the house. Tonight, she said, she'd be staying with her boyfriend.
