WALTHAM, MA — The Waltham Farmers’ Market is set to return for its 36th season in less than two weeks, bringing local produce, handmade goods and live music to the city every Saturday through the fall.
The market opens June 6 and will run weekly from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Oct. 31, at 65 Lexington St., rain or shine.
In a public notice, organizers said the market will feature local farmers, makers and small businesses, along with the return of the popular Music at the Market program.
Boston blues veterans Cheryl Arena and Mike DiBari will kick off the live music lineup June 6 t 11:30 a.m. The pair have performed together for more than 30 years, both as a duo and with The Cheryl Arena Band.
Arena is known for her high-energy harmonica playing, while DiBari’s guitar work has made him a fixture in the Boston blues scene.
Accessible parking will be available onsite at the market. Free parking is also offered at Government Center, 119 School St., in both the front and rear lots. Paid parking can be found nearby at the Central Square Parking Deck.
The market will no longer sell debit or credit card tokens. Visitors whose vendors do not accept cards can use the nearby ATM at Watertown Savings Bank, about a block away.
