Man Wounded In Waltham Shooting: Cops

WALTHAM, MA — A man was wounded in a Sunday evening shooting, police said.

Officers were first sent to a residence on Rich Street near Columbus Avenue about 5 p.m. to investigate a report of "suspicious activity," the Waltham police posted to social media.

Four men reportedly answered the door with weapons," the release said. "One man wearing a Celtics jersey left on foot, while three others departed in an unknown vehicle."

Officers later discovered a man two blocks away on Main Street near Rich with two bullet wounds to his lower abdomen, according to the post.

"He was transported to a hospital, and his condition remains unknown," the post said.

A Be-on-the-Lookout alert was issued for a "tall, thin white male wearing a gray or blue shirt and riding a black stand-up scooter," according to the post.
