WALTHAM, MA — A little community spirit can go a long way, and Waltham residents have an opportunity to make a difference along the Charles River this weekend.
Waltham Pride will host a community river cleanup Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will gather in the Shaw's parking lot near the Riverwalk footbridge entrance before heading out to collect litter along the river paths toward Moody Street.
Residents of all ages are welcome to participate. Organizers encourage volunteers to bring reusable water bottles and work gloves if they have them. Trash bags and additional cleanup supplies will be provided.
