Attempted Murder, Heroin Overdoses & More: Waltham Police Logs
Waltham Police were also called about a raccoon allegedly on the loose between Feb. 5 and Feb 9.

WALTHAM, MA — All of the following is from Waltham Police Blotter. They are excerpts taken from the public police log and represent a portion of what kinds of calls the police respond to. Monday, Feb. 5
- Overdose: Someone reported a heroin overdose on Marguerite Avenue at 2:59 p.m.
- Lock Your Car: Police responded to a report of a break in on Newton Street at 6:51 p.m.
- Vandals?: Someone reported graffiti on Main Street.
- Arrested, Guns: Police arrested Wilson Mendes-Goncalves, 21, of Brockton in connection with seven gun-related charges at 3:28 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 6

- He's confused: Someone on Beaver Street reported seeing a raccoon at 5:04 p.m.
- Heroin: Police responded to a report of a heroin overdose on Pond Street at 8:36 p.m.
- Break in: Someone called around 9:30 p.m. to report a break in happening on Pine Street.
- Arrested, Warrant: At 9:48 a.m. police arrested Ianka Alejandro, 41, of Waltham on a warrant for shoplifting.
- Arrested, Warrant: At 4:54 p.m. Police arrested Donnel Jonas,23, homeless of Waltham on a warrant for a misdemeanor breaking and entering and trespassing charge.
Wednesday, Feb. 7
- Who is that masked... Someone called about a raccoon hanging out at Pro Cut on Calvary Street at 9:55 a.m.
- Hit & Run: Police said a driver left the scene of a crash on River Street at 1:13 p.m. They received a separate call at 1:51 p.m. on Fuller Street about a similar situation and then something similar reportedly happened outside of the D & L Liquor store at 7:04 p.m.
- Arrested, Attempted Murder: At 10:23 p.m. Police arrested Michael Melton, 41, homeless of Waltham on a warrant for attempted murder. (Patch is looking for more information)
Thursday, Feb 8

- Fight: Someone reported an assault and battery at the high school at 2:12 p.m.
- Fire: Police responded to a report of a fire on Trapelo Road around 4:34 p.m.
- Hit & Run: Someone reported a driver left the scene of a crash on Lyman Street at 4:59 p.m. and the same thing happened at a crash near the Westin Hotel at 8:57 p.m.
- Arrested, Warrant: At 5:22 p.m. Police arrested John Penta, 23, of Waltham on a warrant for assault and battery with a deadly weapon and destruction of property.
Friday, Feb. 9
- Suspicious: Someone reported a suspicious person on Ellison Park at 12:24 a.m. And later a suspicious incident on Pond Street at 2:23 a.m.
