Auditions Open for WGBH's 'Sing That Thing!'
The New England singing competition enters its third season next year.

WGBH's "Sing That Thing!" will enter its third season in 2017 and has opened up auditions for local singing groups hoping to flex those vocal chords.
Registration for the competition is open to amateur groups in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Teams that participate in "Sing That Thing!" work with music experts from across the region to hone their craft and have the opportunity to be featured on WGBH TV.

The contest divides 24 teams into three categories - high school college and adult. Last season, singers performed pieces ranging from a cappella and classical to hip hop and spiritual over the course of eight episodes.
During the finale, the top group from each category performed a medley of selected numbers.

Tapings begin in winter 2017.
