I'm sure the Aunt and Uncle comforted any reservations the parents had with all the usual talking points: Pit Bulls Get a Bad Rap, It's All How You Raise Them, Socialization is Everything, Blame the Deed not the Breed, The Media Only Reports Pit Bull Attacks, All Dogs Bite etc.
Notice how the journalist leads with the dogs being put down -- like that is somehow equal to the loss of a child's life -- can you say True Colors (never thought I'd reference a Cyndi Lauper song)
