Bacon Street Road Work Starts Monday
Milling will begin as the city prepares to repave the road. Also, a look at the upcoming road work in Waltham.

WALTHAM, MA – Milling and grinding of Bacon Street began today, as the city continues its revitalization of Waltham's roads.
According to the city, work hours will be between 8:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Milling will start at Lexington Street and head south toward Main Street. Northbound traffic will be permitted from Main Street, and southbound traffic will be detoured to Lexington Street.
Milling is expected to take about a week; the raising of manholes and other structures on the street will take another two weeks, followed by a week of paving, the city said.

During this time, during are asked to seek alternate routes, as the Main Street and Piety Corner areas will be impacted.
