Beloved Allston Bar Deep Ellum Reopens In Waltham
Deep Ellum closed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. But the bar has risen from the ashes, this time with a move to Waltham.

WALTHAM, MA — An Allston favorite in the days before COVID-19 has returned to a new part of the state.
Deep Ellum has reopened for the first time since shuttering its Allston location in June 2020 at 467 Moody St. in Waltham.
The bar and restaurant opened on Friday in Waltham to much acclaim from former patrons and newcomers alike.

In an interview with Boston.com, cofounder Max Toste told the publication that the menu would feature old favorites and new twists. Truffle gorgonzola fries fans rejoice!
There will also be meat and cheese plates similar to the ones patrons in Allston fell in love with, as well as Oklahoma-style smash burgers like the kind popularized by New York City-based burger scholar George Motz.

The original incarnation of Deep Ellum was open for 13 years in Allston before the pandemic hit, forcing ownership to shift their priorities and consolidate.

But now, Deep Ellum is back open seven days a week. The bar is open 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to midnight on Sundays.
