Beloved RACE Cancer Foundation Super Sunday Race Moves To Waltham
Proceeds from the 17th annual race will be donated to the families of Paul Tracey and Roderick Jackson, who were killed in December.
WALTHAM, MA — A beloved five-mile and 5K race is coming to Waltham on the day of the NFL's "Big Game".
RACE Cancer Foundation's Super Sunday race and event is moving from Kendall Square in Cambridge to Mighty Squirrel in Waltham to support the families of Waltham police officer Paul Tracey and National Grid worker Roderick Jackson.
Jackson and Tracey were killed at a work site in December. The man who drove a car into that site is facing multiple charges.

As the foundation explains it, "Super Sunday is a giant Super Bowl pre-party which starts with a running race."
The 17th annual race and party are scheduled for Feb. 11 this year. Though the race is certainly something to look forward to, the party is were the real fun happens.

A 20,000 sq. ft. beer garden takes over for runners and others who come out to enjoy local beers and live music. Those who don't run can buy a ticket to the party for $20. Volunteering during the race gets you in for free.
