Bentley Finishes 3rd in Northeast-10 President’s Cup Standings
The Falcons finished third in the President's Cup behind Southern New Hampshire and Adelphi.

WALTHAM, MA — Bentley University finished third in the standings for the Northeast-10 Conference President's Cup for the 2022-23 academic year. It marked the 31st time in the last 37 years that the Falcons have been in the top three and the second straight year they’ve been third.
It was a close battle with only seven points separating the top three teams. Southern New Hampshire University claimed its second straight President’s Cup with 158 points, Adelphi University was second with 157 and Bentley had 151.

The President's Cup is presented annually to signify overall athletic excellence in the Northeast-10. The honor is awarded to the institution that compiles the most points based on finishes in the regular season in team sports and in the conference championships in cross country, swimming, indoor track, outdoor track and golf.
Bentley was among the top three in points earned in men’s basketball, women’s basketball, field hockey, football, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, softball, men’s swimming, women’s swimming and volleyball.

Bentley has won the President's Cup eight times, most recently in 2008-09, and has been second 17 times since 1987-88. The Falcons' 30 top-three finishes all-time is unparalleled with no other institution having more than 16.
In the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, produced by the National Association of College Directors of America based on finish in NCAA championships, Bentley was 99th overall and fifth among NE-10 institutions. The Falcons' best showing came in men's basketball with an appearance in the regional championship game. Bentley was also represented in NCAA championship play in women's basketball, volleyball, softball, men’s lacrosse, women's swimming and men’s golf.
Bentley’s finish was its best since 2015-16 when the Falcons were 86th overall.
Bentley student-athletes also excelled in the classroom during the year with all of the university's 21 athletic teams posting grade point averages exceeding 3.0 for the year and 83 percent of the athletes achieving at least a 3.0 during the year.
