Bentley Hoops Trio Named To NABC Honors Court

Matt Leritz, Kellan Bochenek and Ivan Misic were named to the NABC Honors Court by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

WALTHAM, MA — Three members of the 2022-23 Bentley University men's basketball team, including College Sports Communicators second-team Academic All-America Matt Leritz (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis University HS), were named to the NABC Honors Court by the National Association of Basketball Coaches for attaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better.

The other Falcon honorees were senior guard Kellan Bochenek (Kettering, Ohio/Fairmont HS) and junior forward Ivan Misic (Toronto, Ont./Cape Fear Academy (N.C.).

Leritz, an MBA student in his only year at Bentley, earned second-team All-Northeast-10 and second-team NABC Division II All-East honors.

Bochenek, a finance major who plans to return this coming year for his final season of eligibility, played 13.1 minutes a game off the bench and averaged 3.8 points and 2.1 rebounds.

Misic, a quantitative economics major, missed the entire season following a preseason knee injury, but is expected to be back for the 2023-24 campaign.

Bentley had another strong season on the court this this past winter. Coach Jay Lawson's team posted a 23-7 record, were 12-2 at home and reached the NCAA Division II East Region championship game.
