Bentley Tennis Player Grabs Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team Nod

WALTHAM, MA — The adjustment to Waltham, Mass. from Oslo, Norway is probably a big one, but it didn't do much to impact Nikolai Pran's performance on the tennis court.

Pran, Bentley's standout freshman, was named to the Northeast-10 Men's Tennis All-Rookie team this week.

He and Gabe Horwitz were Bentley's primary No. 2 doubles team during the NE10 season and they compiled a 3-2 record, according to Bentley. Overall, Pran was 7-6 in doubles matches.

In singles, Pran posted wins against the likes of Stonehill, Franklin Pierce and Post in the regular season.

Recently, Pran won both of his matches in Bentley's NE10 first-round playoff match against St. Michael's on Tuesday. He won in No. 4 singles and in No. 2 doubles with Horwitz.

Pran was an acclaimed youth tennis player in Oslo, ranking in the top-300 for under-16 players and playing for the Norwegian youth national team.
