Blasting to Begin Next Week in Waltham

The Waltham Fire Department is advising residents of the blasts at a site in the Second Avenue area.

WALTHAM, MA – The Waltham Fire Department on Tuesday announced that blasting will be conducted in the city beginning next week.

According to the fire department, a blasting permit has been issued for 135 Second Ave. The company Maine Drill & Blasting will be responsible for the work, which will begin Oct. 11.

The company plans to conduct one or two blasts a day for the project, which is estimated to take about 1-2 weeks.

All blasting is limited to weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
