Boston Children's Hospital Expands in Waltham

As part of a $1.5 billion expansion of all its facilities in the state, Boston Children’s Hospital is adding 48 beds to its facility in Waltham, according to the Boston Globe.

This outpatient facility offers day surgery, and has 97 pediatric specialities and services.

The expansion is part of a plan that also includes revamping the Longwood Medical Area campus in Boston.

The Boston Business Journal, which features a photo gallery of the Waltham facility, reports that the move is different from many other hospitals, which are shifting services to more outpatient care.
