Brandeis University Commencement Guide: Speakers, Start Times

Graduation ceremonies at Brandeis are scheduled throughout the day on Sunday. Here's what to know.

WALTHAM, MA — It's the beginning of graduation weekend on the Waltham campus of Brandeis University.

The commencement events are set for Sunday at the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center on the Brandeis campus. The undergraduate commencement ceremony will begin at 9 a.m while the graduate commencement ceremony will begin at 2:45 p.m.

Doors will close at 8:50 a.m. for the undergraduate ceremony and 2:35 p.m. for the graduate ceremony.

Guests can park at any university parking lot on commencement day, university officials said. Shuttle bus transportation will be available on campus and from the Charles River Road parking lot, Children's Hospital lot and Sawyer Road lot, they added.

Parking lots at the Gosman Center will be closed.

Honorary degree recipients include keynote speakers Drew Weissman and Annette Gordon-Reed alongside Katalin Kariko and Don Soffer.

Gordon-Reed, an acclaimed and award-winning author, will serve as the graduate commencement keynote speaker while Drew Weissman, whose research alongside Kariko helped spearhead the development Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines, will serve as the undergraduate keynote speaker.
