btone FITNESS continues to expand; opens newest studio in Waltham

btone FITNESS is pleased to announce the opening of its newest location in Waltham, MA. The new 1,800 square foot studio marks btone's founder and owner Jody Merrill’s newest location, joining other studios in Lexington, Wellesley, Chestnut Hill, Back Bay, North End and South Boston. It's also Merrill's first franchise location, which will be owned by Jamie Barry who has been an employee of btone for years. Merrill says that Barry "pulled out all the stops for this new studio with some amazing details when it comes to decor and overall comfort for our clients. She thought of everything so we can't wait to showcase the new studio to the Waltham community."

Waltham's btone FITNESS studio opened December 10, 2018 and offers 10 TONEy's to start. Rowing machines will be added in the future. Early morning classes will start at 5:45am or 6:00am depending on the day. There are approximately 8 classes per day, generally ending at 8pm. btone Waltham will be open on weekends and childcare will be offered multiple times throughout the week.

Unlike other group exercise classes, btone specializes in 45 minute total body TONE workouts on exclusive, customized machines, TONEy's, that allow clients to tailor each and every move with spring resistance and body placement. With these reformer-inspired machines, clients can either modify or vary their workout based on their current fitness level and goals.

Located at 708 Main Street in Waltham, this newest location was the next logical choice for the company’s expansion and Merrill's first choice for a franchise. Merrill says, "btone almost opened in Waltham years ago since it's where I grew up. When that studio deal fell apart because of zoning issues, I knew that was not the end for us and Waltham. As soon as this franchising deal was in place, I knew that Waltham was a no brainer given the support that the community has given to me throughout my life, and Jamie was the perfect franchisee to open our first franchise location. And it's awesome that this new business venture and franchise model is happening right in my hometown. Plus, our location is very centrally located in the new MERC building on the corner of Main Street & Moody Street. There is convenient parking, showers, multiple bathrooms and a play room for kids. This is a win-win on so many different levels, and I couldn't be more excited for everyone involved."
