Budding Waltham Scientists?

Students get realistic dose of sciences.

Maybe they will be rocket scientists, radar technicians or geologists. No matter what, Waltham students are now a little bit more prepared to join one of the many fields of science, engineering, technology or math.

Volunteers from Dassault Systemes andthe DIGITS program on Friday, May 18 helped students explore their carreer potential in several fields of science, technology, engineer and math. In presentations to the sixth-grade class, volunteers explained to students how their academic lessons link to the real world. 

Dassault Systemes, a Waltham based 3D design software firm, financially supports the DIGITS project, which started in 2009 with presenations statewide. The DIGITS project is intended to increase students' interesting in math, science, engineering and technology.
