Description: 
This is a beginner friendly course that will have the student completing all the steps necessary to take home a mirror framed in stained glass. The student will cut &amp; grind the glass, wrap it with copper foil tape, solder, patina and wax their project. There will be several patterns available to choose from and many colorful pieces of beautiful stained glass to use. Registration ends October 12th.

In their new program,The American Story in Song, created for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the duo Sultana weaves history, original songs, and a slideshow for a unique and fun look at U.S. history and legends. It is a story of heroes and celebrities, immigrants and indigenous peoples, injustices and progress. Visits are paid to a legendary heroine, a sports superstar, a technological feat, a media circus and much more.
This program takes place in the Carriage House at Gore Place. Parking is free.
This program is supported by a grant from the Waltham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.$25 General Admission, $20 Member, $15 Card to Culture

Rose Art Museum

In this virtual conversation, the artist will be joined by The New Yorker staff writer Naomi Fry to reflect on the ideas, relationships, and philosophical questions that have shaped Gribbon’s practice, on the occasion of her first museum survey, <a href="https://www.brandeis.edu/rose/exhibitions/2026/jenna-gribbon.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Jenna Gribbon: Entwined</a>.&nbsp;
Together, they will explore Gribbon’s distinctive approach to painting, the collaborative nature of her portraits, and the ways in which her work challenges conventional notions of representation, intimacy, and observation.
