Camp Fogarty National Guard Company Deploys To Southwest Asia
The 115th Military Police Company out of East Greenwich was deployed as part of Operation Spartan Shield.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — The 115th Military Police Company of the Rhode Island National Guard, based at Camp Fogarty in East Greenwich, has been deployed to southwest Asia as part of Operation Spartan Shield. The deployment is part of a scheduled rotation and the company is scheduled to conduct routine military police missions.
Formed in 1951, the company has a history of supporting the military in natural disasters domestically and operations overseas. During their 2003 deployment to support the Global War on Terror, the 115th performed almost 1600 missions during the 12-month deployment. Missions included seizure of stolen property, criminal arrests and security and seizure of enemy weapons.
"America's citizen soldiers have always answered our nation's call to duty," said Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Floyd, Commander of the 118th Military Police Battalion, on Monday. "That legacy of service has made our nation and the world a safer place. Today the 115th Military Police Company begins another chapter in that legacy."
