Changes to Moody Street Eatery After Managers' Departure, Report Says
A Waltham Channel report offers insight into Matt and Nancy Sargent's departure from Brewer's Tap & Table, and what's next.
WALTHAM, MA – Little was known about Matt and Nancy Sargent's abrupt decision to leave Brewer's Tap & Table after only a few months in operation, except that the two were focusing on a "golden goal." The Waltham Channel recently spoke to restaurant owner Joe Slesar about the popular managers' sudden departure, and what's next for the Moody Street eatery.
A short staff out of the gate, lack of signs outside the building and an apparent disagreement over the restaurant's capacity may have resulted in a difficult environment at the burgeoning eatery, though both Slesar and the Sargents have said there's no ill will.
Meanwhile Slesar has hired a new manager and told The Waltham Channel outdoor signs will be put up this spring and there are plans to open up a mezzanine section and patio out back with additional seating.
