COMMUTE ALERT: PD Warns of Blocked Roads Due to Water Break
A water main break has 'zero percent chance' of being fixed overnight on Sunday for Monday's commute.
While the city’s Water Department remained on the scene late Sunday evening, Waltham police said there is “zero chance of this being fixed by tonight,” concerning a severe water main break at Second Ave.
The water break is affecting Bear Hill Road and Main Street.
As of 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, the road was blocked at 225 Second Ave.

“Addresses north of that must access from Winter Street,” police said. “Addresses south of that (including Bear Hill Road) must access from Main Street.”
Police urged drivers to seek alternate routes on Monday morning.
