Coronavirus: Weymouth Cancels Scholarship Award Ceremony

WEYMOUTH, MA — Weymouth has canceled its scholarship award ceremony scheduled for May due to the coronavirus pandemic. Weymouth town officials said recipients of this year's scholarships will be notified by mail during the month of April.

Winners will also be announced on social media and the Scholarship Fund Committee's website. Students who did not submit their application in time because of the early closing of schools and colleges are encouraged to apply again next year provided the student has not already received two awards.

Although the town hall is temporary closed to the public, Weymouth welcomes the community's continued support, and encourages residents to make online, tax-deductible donation here.
