Decades-Old Business, As Classic As Its Wares, Will Close This Summer: Report

The downtown Waltham store has been dealing in comic books and pop-culture collectibles since 1983.

WALTHAM, MA — A fixture of Waltham’s business scene for over 40 years, the Outer Limits is going out of business.

The comic book store sells and buys “gold and silver age” titles as well as modern comic publications, paperbacks, graphic novels, toys, lunchboxes and other pop culture collectibles. But owner Steve Higgins will shutter the shop July 31 when he retires, MassLive.com reported.

“Business has been great,” he said. However, he wants to spend more time with his family and plans to travel.
