This Decision Should be made Together
With cremation becoming so prevalent nowadays, many people are changing their thinking about earth burial and deciding or opting for cremation as a means of disposition.
Many couples that have made prearranged funeral plans with our firm and one spouse or the other prefers the opposite of one. If cremation is a desire what will be done with the cremated remains, will or should they be held by the family until the death of the other spouse and then placed together in an urn for companion or single urns or placed inside of the last spouses casket
Do you wish to have a lasting urn or a biodegradable urn. If not for burial, is it your desire to have your cremated remains scattered or buried at sea, or scattered from a plane over a specific geographic area ? We have handled all of these methods of disposition.
Many are not aware that you can also have your remains buried at sea in their entirety, by private launch.
The idea is to make you talk about these options now with your spouse and your children, and I would emphasize that it is only fair to include your children in these decisions, since they will be left to mourn your loss and should be able to deal with it the way it makes them most comfortable.
Your disposition should be part of your Life Celebration, and you are a part of their life, so it is a good idea to start the conversation now.
Until then...
