Electrical Malfunction Likely Cause of Multi-Family Fire in Waltham

The cause is likely electrical in a fire that stretched through a large six-family apartment in Waltham on Tuesday morning.

Around 10:40 a.m., Waltham firefighters responded to alarms for a reported building fire at 6 Calvary St., according to reports on Waltham Fire Department Emergency Notifications.

Light smoke was showing from the eves of the roof of the three-story, and firefighters located a fire in the second floor ceiling. The fire was knocked down quickly “by an aggressive interior attack.”

No injuries were reported.
