Electrical Surges Cause Fires, Failed Traffic Signals In Waltham: PD

WALTHAM, MA — Electrical surges are wreaking havoc in Waltham on Saturday, causing transformer fires and producing smoke in buildings, according to a post from the Waltham Police Department.

The surges also caused multiple traffic signals throughout the city to stop working Saturday afternoon, police said.
