16th ANNUAL HEALING GARDEN MUSIC FEST TO BENEFIT MOUNT AUBURN HOSPITAL

Mount Auburn Hospital, along with Terry Eagan and Patio Records, present the 16^th annual Healing Garden Music Fest on Saturday, June 16^th at 7:30 pm at the National Heritage Museum’s Maxwell Auditorium in Lexington, MA. The evening will feature musical performances by The Kelleys with Scott Neubert, The Laws, and Kelli Trottier with Greg Simm. Special guests include Richard Gates, Edmond Boudreau, Jim Spellman, and Chick Parrish. 100% of the concert’s proceeds will go towards a future healing garden at Mount Auburn Hospital.

Terry Eagan, a longtime Waltham resident a friend of Mount Auburn Hospital, began these festivals 16 years ago to raise funds to fulfill his wife Mary Eagan’s dream to build a healing garden for patients suffering from cancer. Mary passed away from Leukemia in 1992 and since then, Eagan has used these music festivals to help fund and build healing gardens throughout Greater Boston and Canada. He created Patio Records because of his love of music and to emphasize artists who support his cause.  All proceeds made from this production company go to creating gardens in memory of his wife.

“I want these patients to have the same opportunity like anyone else to see the trees and flowers and to be able to take in a fresh breath of air,” said Eagan. Each piece of the garden is hand selected and designed by a team from Zen Associates to help provide a soothing and invigorating environment to offset the clinical aspects of cancer treatments. Although these gardens may not cure illnesses, they provide a refreshing place to enhance the quality of life.

Tickets for this event are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. $2 discounts on advance tickets will be available for seniors, students, and one-of WUMB, Canadian-American Club, or French Club Members, and Lions Club members. The National Heritage Museum’s Maxwell Auditorium is located at 33 Marrett Road (intersection of Route 2 and Mass Ave) in Lexington, MA.  Doors will open at 6:45 pm and the show will begin at 7:30 pm.
