JB Blastoff 5K Fun/Walk has been created to raise monies for brain cancer research. Glioblastoma Multiforme is the most common and most aggressive form of primary brain cancer. All monies from this event will go directly to the American Brain Tumor Association, which is the leading non-profit organization in the country for brain cancer research. By participating in this event you have donated $20, or $25,(depending on when you registered) to the American Brain Tumor Association. Any additional donation you would like to contribute will also go directly to the American Brain Tumor Association.

Distance: 5K Race/Walk

Entry Fee:

$20 until September 5th.

$25 after September 5th (Race day registration opens at 8:00am, closes at 9:45am)

Course Description: The event will begin at 10:30am starting and finishing at Waverley Oaks Athletic Club in Waltham. The course is a fast, fairly flat 3.1 miles (5K). The course is paved, therefore strollers or baby joggers are allowed on the course. In addition for safety purposes no skateboards, roller blades/skates, bicycles, as well as animals can be taken on the course.

Additional Information: Number Pick-up/Registration: On the event day you will need to check in at the registration table and pick up your bib #, t-shirt, and goodie bag. Event registration begins at 8:00am in the parking lot of Waverley Oaks Athletic Club.
