Join Waltham Farmers' Market for a free concert of bluegrass, country and folk music by Dawn Kenney at 11 a.m.
A natural performer, Dawn Kenney first began entertaining at the age of 5, singing and conducting along with Mitch Miller in front of the family's black and white TV. After a few years of endless begging and pleading, she received a Harmony guitar at age 9. Many hours were spent honing her musical skills playing along to 45's of Johnny Cash, Peter, Paul & Mary, Glen Campbell, the Kingston Trio, and Creedence Clearwater. At seventeen she acquired a '73 Martin D-18 guitar that she still brings on stage with her today.
Dawn's music has won awards and other honors from the North American Country Music Organization, New England Country Music Organization and the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, among others.

She lives in Waltham and was an early member of the Waltham Farmers' Market committee. Other members of her band include Don Barry on upright bass, Eric Kilburn on mandolin/dobro, and Rich Stillman on banjo.
