The Green Enterprise Training Institute is a cooperative training program produced by the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation and the Workforce Development One Stop Center in Newton and the Minuteman Technical/Career Center. GETI focuses on education and training in green energy efficiency skills and in the leadership tools to create new green enterprises. Initial classes are in Waltham and continue at Minuteman Technical Center in Lexington.
Interested participants will experience a new program focus on diagnosing homes and small businesses for energy loss, training in diagnostic equipment, air sealing gaps, and evaluating barriers to a healthy home (internal air quality and toxic agents). The concluding week involves an on-site evaluation of a home with team presentations. The course also incorporates an introduction into Green Small Business Development.
Green Jobs: Energy Efficiency Training –This program trains participants to transition into green energy efficiency jobs. After completion of this program, participants receive a certificate, job counseling, and placement assistance.
