During renovations to Lady Liberty in 1985, bulldozers unearthed animal bones and plant life which gave new clues to the history of Liberty Island. Tonya Largy will discuss the surprising findings, including clues to animal life not found previously in New York Harbor.
Largy is an archaeological consultant and on the staff of the Zooarchaeology Laboratory at Harvard University.
