"Measure Their History" - Antony Polonsky's The Jews in Poland and Russia

Antony Polonsky's three-volume magnum opus provides a comprehensive political, social, economic, and religious survey of the Jewish communities of Eastern Europe from 1350 to the present. To mark its publication, this symposium will consider the impact of Professor Polonsky's work on the field of Eastern European Jewish studies through a scholarly panel, a keynote by author and journalist Ruth Franklin, and a visual presentation of pre-war Eastern Europe through film clips.

Antony Polonsky is the Albert Abramson Professor of Holocaust Studies at Brandeis. He is the editor of Polin and has taught at universities throughout the United States and Europe.
