Moody Street String Band Performs at Waltham Farmers’ Market

"Home grown" in Waltham in the early 1990's, the Moody Street String Band plays a lively mix of Celtic, Scots, and Yankee Old Timey tunes and more. They have been a fixture for many years at the spring Sheep Shearing Festival at Waltham's Gore Place and regulars at the Waltham Farmers' Market, where they made their debut. The group's primary instruments are fiddles, banjos, guitars, accordions and bass.

The market is held rain or shine, and will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Saturday through November 5, at the Sovereign Bank parking lot, 1 Moody Street. The market is wheelchair-accessible, and is located at the intersection of Main and Moody, opposite the Waltham Common. The lot can be reached by car from Main Street or Charles Street.
