The 65-year-old man formerly worked as a teacher for the public school system in Newton.
WALTHAM, MA — The FBI has arrested a 65-year-old Waltham man, a former teacher, as part of an operation to stop pedophiles from harming children.
Mark Nacht faces a charge of attempted enticement of a minor, the Waltham Times reported Sunday. He is currently held by U.S. marshals and is scheduled to appear Tuesday for a detention hearing in Boston federal court.
The arrest follows a sting operation in which Nacht communicated with undercover FBI agents about a proposed sexual engagement with a 13-year-old girl. To meet the fictive teenager, he traveled on April 10 to Albany, New York, where investigators took him into custody.
