Fire at Enterprise Rent-a-Car 'Believed to Be Electrical'

A building fire occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Enterprise in Waltham, and firefighters had to shovel out the hydrant.

Around 1:26 p.m., Waltham Fire Department responded to a reported building fire at Enterprise Rent-a-Car at 140 Moody St.

According to Waltham Fire, C-2, Engine 1, Squad 5, Rescue 6, Ladder 2 & Engine 2 (RIT) responded and Deputy Capello on arrival called off, with smoke showing from a one-story commercial garage. The building was being evacuated when firetrucks arrived.

Waltham Fire posted that the companies found a room and contents fire, and a squad stretched an “attack line” while a hydrant was shoveled out.

“Companies quickly knocked down the fire and checked for extension. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.”
