Fitchburg Line Commuter Rail Train Catches Fire In Waltham

WALTHAM, MA — A commuter rail train caught fire in Waltham Thursday evening, causing delays in both directions, reported 7 News Boston.
At approximately 4:45 p.m., Waltham firefighters responded to reports of a fire that started under the wheelset of an inbound Fitchburg Line train.
Fire officials say the blaze was caused by a buildup of dry leaves on the train tracks.
