Grab & Go Kids Planner: March 4 - 6

Music for all ages, sports, and comedy shows - pick and choose from this week's array of events.

  • Where/When: Watertown Free Public Library, Saturday, 11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
  • Why Go: It’s a fun way to start the weekend for kids 7 and under.  Hear songs from Mike and Dan Flannery’s new CD, “The New Explorers Club."
  • Pricing: Free.

  • Where/When: Gore Place, Waltham, Saturday, 12 p.m.- 3 p.m.
  • Why Go:  You’ll receive a backpack of items for exploring the 48-acre grounds. To make covering the grounds a bit easier, snowshoes are available for rent.
  • Pricing: $5 per hour with backpack.

  • Where/When: John A. Ryan Arena, Watertown, Saturday, 7:05 p.m.
  • Why Go: Come cheer on as they skate against Sacred Heart in an Atlantic Conference playoff game.  It’s great entertainment for the family at a great price.
  • Pricing: $5

  • Where/When: First Unitarian Society, 1326 Washington St., West Newton, Saturday 7 p.m.-11 p.m.
  • Why Go: Enjoy comedy acts and live bands, all for a good cause. Proceeds will benefit Communities without Borders and the Chawama Family Home in Zambia.
  • Pricing: $10 - Adults, $5 - Students.

  • Where/When: Gore Place, Sunday, 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: Jerome Mouffe, a virtuoso guitarist from Belgium, has entertained audiences throughout the U.S. and Western Europe as a soloist and chamber musician. 
  • Pricing: $8 for students, $10 for Gore members, $15 in advance, $18 at the door.
