Greater Waltham Recovery Solutions To Host 5th Annual Festival

WALTHAM, MA — Greater Waltham Recovery Solutions (GWRS), a nonprofit organization supports those struggling with and affected by addiction, will host its 5th Annual Recovery Fest on Sunday, September 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Waltham Common.

The event will feature activities for all ages, including crafts, face painting, entertainment, food vendors, raffles, speakers, treatment, and recovery resource tables, as well as a special dove release in honor of those lost to substance use disorder.

This years entertainment includes poetry by Matt Ganem, comedy by Johnny Joyce, and music by DJ Anthony Mansi and the guests speakers will include Maryanne Frangules of MOAR, Louis Diaz, and Dr. Haner Hernandez.

GWRS works to help those struggling with substance use disorder, those in recovery, their family and friends, and the wider community through support services, detox and treatment placement services, family services, recovery, and scholarships to safe and reputable sober living. All services are free of charge and rely on fundraising and community support.
