Heavy Rain, Flooding, Thunderstorms in Waltham Through Weekend
The National Weather Service issued an alert that there is potential for flooding in the area. Route 117 is already flooding.

It’s already started, and looks like Waltham is in for a lot of rain Friday. But the rest of the weekend, and week, is looking worse.
The National Weather Service issued a “hazardous weather outlook” statement for the area that indicates that the rain will strengthen Saturday through Thursday.

There will be a moderate risk of heavy rain and poor drainage flooding with showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, with an isolated severe thunderstorm possible.
The risk continues, says NWS, of showers and thunderstorms Sunday through Tuesday.

Drivers are urged to avoid driving in floods.
