High School Employee Facing Assault Charges

An employee at the Waltham High School was arrested recently for allegedly fighting with a woman.

Waltham police charged 43-year-old Christopher J. Hazel, an audio-visual teacher at the high school, with assault and battery on a family or household member, destruction of property and intimidation of a witness, reported WCVB-News.

The woman who was allegedly assaulted by Hazel called police from a pay phone, saying that she had gotten into a verbal argument that escalated into a fight in the home.

Hazel is scheduled for a pretrial hearing on March 25.
