Holdings Company Acquires Constant Contact for $1.1 Billion
The Waltham-based email service was acquired by Endurance International Group Holdings.

Waltham-based Constant Contact is now owned by Endurance International Group Holdings.
The email marketing service was sold to the holdings group in a cash deal of $1.1 billion, reported ZD Net.
With brands under its wing that include HostGator and Domain.com, Endurance plans to use Constant Contact to “help the organization expand beyond its core focus on web hosting. The Constant Contact brand will remain intact.”

“Their focus on the customer and product development complements our offerings for small business services,” Hari Ravichandran, Endurance president and CEO, said in a statement to ZD Net.
Originally branded “Roving Software,” Constant Contact was founded in 1995, growing to four offices worldwide, including its home base in Waltham, MA.
