How Many Millionaires Live in Waltham?
The Boston Globe has released a new report. Check out where Massachusetts towns and cities place on the list.

A new report analyzing the amount of millionaires in Massachusetts shows the vast majority reside west of Boston.
The Boston Globe has released a new report on where millionaires live, stating that the majority are in 15 communities west of Boston.

The Globe numbers from the Department of Revenue to compile its list. Note that 2012 is the latest tax return list that is available.
Boston topped the list, with 1,698 millionaires followed by Newton (1,136), Wellesley (767), Weston (529), Brookline (442), and Lexington (379).

Where does Waltham fall on that list? Waltham has 35 millionaires in town, accounting for .58 millionaires per 1,000 people.
The report also broke down the highest average income for millionaire taxpayers in one community. That list was topped by Norwood, with the average at $10.9 million. Groton and Sherborn followed, with Wayland not far behind, with 199 millionaires averaging $5.5 million. Weston followed, having 529 millionaires averaging an income of $5.4 million.
